Skew
XSQ™ technology provides perfect skew delay correction between the Red, Green and Blue VGA signals. This delay is as a direct result of transmitting RGB signals over Cat5/5e/6 cables.
The Cat5e/6 cables are designed with a different number of twists, resulting in different lengths for each twisted pair. When transmitting RGB video signals over these cables, a colour separation occurs, affecting the image quality. This effect is referred to as “Skew”.
The skew level in Cat5 cables is negligible, especially at distances below 100m; however skew can become significant when using Cat5e/6, in particular over longer distances.
To correct this effect, SY Electronics has developed XSQ™ technology, a skew correction system, which provides pin sharp images. This technology has been incorporated into all CatXQ products that operate up to 300m. It is also available as a stand-alone product, the Skew62. This unit connects to any 15HDD VGA system, eliminating the skew effect within seconds.
Skew62 can be used with any third party system to eliminate skew, without any compromise.

Cat5/6 VGA Extenders
Cat5/6 VGA Extenders have been designed and developed by SY Electronics Ltd to transmit VGA signals up to 300m. They also integrate fully with the range of Video distribution products where a single VGA source is outputed to several different locations.
Used primarily as part of a Public Information Display system, these Cat5/6 VGA Extenders are a cost effective way of transmitting VGA Video signals over Cat5/6 cable. These units produce the best quality Video output of any comparable product.
SY Electronics Ltd. will be launching XSQ™ technology at CeBit 2005. This technology not only corrects skew, it eliminates it. This new development is particularly important when using Cat6 cable over longer distances up to 300m.
This technology is also available as a seperate product Skew62 that can be used with any brand of Cat5/6 extender.
This section contains the following products

Cat5/6 VGA Distribution
These products transmit a single VGA and stereo audio signal over Cat5/5e/6 cable to two or more locations up to 300m. Used in conjunction with any of the CatX Video Receiver units, they are ideal video distribution solution for use with Public Information Displays.
Local monitor + Stereo speakers may also be connected to any transmitter unit, which is rather useful during set up or administration. These transmitters can be cascaded together to increase the number of outputs.
These video distribution range of products, provide a very cost effective and flexible VGA distribution system, when two or more identical remote displays are needed.

Cat5/6 Composite extenders
Composite Video is still widely used to broadcast TV quality images. Composite is normally distributed using Co-Axial cable. S.Y.Electronics has designed a complimentary Cat5/6 extender product for Composite video.
The nature of Composite Video also means that good quality video displays can be maintained over much longer lengths of Cat5/6 cable. In the case of the CatX Composite range, this means up to 600m. It also means that these units are even more cost effective compared with the CatX VGA and KVM extender range.
This makes uses Cat5/6 UTP cable, which is cheaper and easier to install than Co-axial cable. These products can also, therefore, make use of existing structured network cabling in the same way as our range of VGA and KVM extenders.
The range consists of the following products
CatX Composite Tx 4 - Single composite video/audio source, up to four Cat5/6 outputs
CatX Composite Lite Rx - Single Composite video/audio receiver up to 150m
CatX Composite Rx - Single Composite video/audio receiver with distance adjustment up to 600m
