CatX Video Tx
CatX Video Tx is a Cat5/6 VGA transmitter unit. Used in conjunction with CatX Video Rx or CatXQ Video Rx, VGA + audio signals can be extended over up to 300m of Cat5/5e/6 cable.
This unit may also be paired with other receiver units for multiple VGA output. Please refer to the Considerations for Use section of this product for a full list of receiver units that may be used with CatX Video Tx.
The choice of receiver unit means that the most suitable and cost effective system for your requirement is possible. As used by Airports, Railway or Bus stations for Public Information Displays, this is the ideal solution for extending VGA signals using Cat5/5e/6 cable. Easy to install with no software required.

Transmits SVGA video up to 300m
The CATX Video unit is specifically designed to transmit the video + audio signals from a PC to any VGA video display unit, including CRT, LCD, TFT and Plasma screens, up to a distance of 300m.
SVGA Output up to 1600 x 1200
Compatible with all VGA standards, CatX Video Tx in conjunction with a Video receiver unit can provide a high quality video over Cat5/6 cabling.
Includes local VGA and Stereo Audio output
This useful feature means a local display can be used to view the source VGA output. Particularly useful during setup or administration.
Simple to install and easy to use
All CatX units can be installed quickly and easily. The controls are all on the receiver units, so adjustments can be made whilst viewing the remote display.
Compact and lightweight
All CatX units have been styled with metal casing, yet designed to be compact and lightweight. As such they can be easily fitted and secured in environments with limited space.
DDC Compliant
Applies to any local monitor attached to the transmitter.

This unit requires a receiver unit to operate
CatX Video Tx will work in combination with any of the following Receiver units

CatXQ Video Rx 2 for two VGA outputs up to 300m (includes XSQ™ technology for skew correction)

How do I improve the quality of the image output fom a CatX/ Video only extender?
All CatX/ Video only extender products are designed for the best possible video quality. The video signal will degrade as the length of CAT5/5e/6 cable increases, but each externder unit has a manual adjustment to compensate for this. All the units are designed to display a video resolution of 1280x1024 @75Hz at their maximum operating distance. Higher video resolutions may be acheivable, particularly at shorter distances.
