KVM_IP is a KVM over WAN/ LAN extender. It allows the remote administration of any PC/ Server attached to a KVM Switch. In conjunction with either our own KVM Switches or an existing KVM Switch from another manufacturer, the KVM_IP is a plug and play administrative tool designed with security in mind. 128 bit encryption, SSL secure log in, limited log on failures, time out settings, the list goes on an on. No longer do you have to fly and drive all those thousands of miles to do routine maintenance on your server cluster.

Features

Remote Access:

KVM_IP will allow remote access to any attached PC or Server with full control of Keyboard and Mouse. It's as though the user was sitting in front of the computer on their own desk!!

LAN WAN or Modem access:

KVM_IP allows remote access over a LAN WAN or by modem if no network connection is available. KVM_IP can act as an ISP for dial up access, so you have two ways of accessing your remote server or PC.

Power Management Interface:

KVM_IP offers the remote user full control of power to a server or PC. The user can shutdown, power up, do a hardware reboot or a restart the operating system. This is the power of KVM_IP, complete control of power to the remote computer.

Security:

KVM_IP has SSL 128 bit encryption as standard, a dedicated device certificate, including user authentication and authorisation. Any Network Administrator can have confidence that KVM_IP will not compromise the security of the network or any servers connected to it.

No Special Software Required:

KVM_IP does not require any dedicated client or host software in order to function. All remote access is via the browser of the remote client.

Use with any Operating System:

Totally compatible with all main Operating Systems including Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 3.51, NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Linux, BSD Unix, Novell Netware and IBM OS/2.

Can I use PC Switch products with any operating system?
All PC Switch products emulate PS/2 peripherals and VGA video, therefore any computer which has these connectors can use the products.

Functionality

What are the differences between KVM_IP and KVM_IP_Lite?
KVM_IP can be used to connect to a single computer OR to a KVM Switch that has multiple computers attached to it. KVM_IP_Lite is a PCI card that must be inserrted into an available PCI slot in a PC or Server. It can only therefore be used to remotely access a single computer system.

Can I only connect to KVM_IP or KVM_IP_Lite with a LAN or WAN connection?
No. Both KVM_IP_Lite and KVM_IP allow connection via a modem (56K maximum speed). Each of these devices can act in the same way as if you were dialing up an ISP. You make your connection by phone, login and use your browser to access the remote computer
